Drug Crimes

Our team of criminal defense lawyer’s in Ventura can handle charges related to controlled or illegal substances:

Most juvenile cases involve an arrest on drug charges. If that’s what has happened to your child, you can feel very alone and terrified. I work exceptionally hard to support parents and the young person who has been arrested.

As per the California Health & Safety Code 11350 HS, it is a punishable offense to possess certain controlled substances without a valid medical prescription.Ā

It is a crime to sell controlled substances classified as narcotics, controlled substances classified as restricted dangerous drugs, synthetic stimulants or cannabis, or prescription narcotics.

It is a felony to be in possession of certain controlled substances with the intent to sell them,Ā  including heroin, cocaine, LSD, oxycodone, and methamphetamines.

It is illegal for anyone to make or manufacture a controlled substance. This is a felony offense, and if convicted, a person will face three to seven years in prison or jail and have a permanent criminal record.

Under this law, it is a crime to transport, import, sell, furnish, administer, or give away an illegal controlled substance. The law also makes it illegal to offer to transport, import, furnish, sell, or give someone a controlled substance.
